Okay, here’s the story…
Diet plans clearly abound. It can be overwhelming to decide.
So when you’ve made your choice, and it’s time to start menu planning, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You may wind up in a position where you need to start all over from scratch.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
Food and beverages that one eating plan encourages, some other diet plan is probably going to banish. It’s always super tempting to dabble, and counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. Let’s tell the truth. Food videos are usually unbelievably tempting. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight in a more healthy way.
Seems pretty logical, really. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
No doubt that this is standard, conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
